  Logines started in 1832 in Saint-Imier, Switzerland and has played a significant role in man technological breakthroughs and able to keep its elegance and tradition around the world. In 1866 built their first Longines factory which allowed starting the workforce under one roof for the first time. In 1867 Longines created their first movement which is called L20A, with this Longines broke the tradition of all the key-wounded watches at that time.


Longines introduced the electric wire in 1912 and made history in the world of sports where at the start and finish of the race it was activated and stopped the timing mechanism. It has been appointed official timekeeper for many international sports event as well as many winter and summer Olympic Games. Also Longines have been associated with the history of aviation and navigation. Lindbergh’s first solo flight across Atlantic Ocean was timed by Longines and then developed the Hour Angle designed by Lindberg himself.

 Logines launched their first wristwatch in 1905, the world’s thinnest electromagnetic watch in 1960 and the world’s first cybernetic electronic quartz watch in 1969 (Longines Ultra-Quartz). In 1979 Longines work together with other watch brands to develop the world’s thinnest quartz watch “Fueille D’or” and the creation of the famous Conquest VHP (Very High Precision) was developed in 1984.
