Seiko is known best for its wristwatches, they are known in the west for their affordable watches. Seiko is one of the few wristwatch manufactures that produce all of their watches and movements entirely in-house. Even minor items are all produced by the Seiko factories. Seiko creates both quartz and mechanical watches of different prices. The price range can vary from $50 USD to thousands. Seiko mechanical watch that is prized by collectors is the Seiko “5” series. This is the most common, the Seiko automatic Chronometer series, the “Bell-Matic” with mechanical alarm to the luxury “Credot”, “King Seiko” and “Grand Seiko” lines. It is frustrating for collectors because Seiko does not release its watch lines everywhere, although some online retailers will ship the watch overseas.
